GENTLEMAN'S PISTOLS (Just A Fraction) 7"
This is a nice two-tracker from a new English band, which has been released on Art Goes Pop. GENTLEMAN'S PISTOLS are playing 1970's heavy rock with a sound and attitude, which comes over, as if we still have 1972. 'Just Fraction' is a solid up-tempo rocker, and nothing real outstanding, while the second one, entitled 'Heavy Petting' is a slow and heavy Blues track, which reminds me to early Led Zeppelin, jamming together with early Ten Years After. Both tracks are showing a band, which knows to convince with good songwriting skills and an authentic heavy vintage sound. Meanwhile, they have released their debut full-length on the Japanese label Leafhound, as far as I remember. Nice start, guys!
