VINE SWEETLAND & THE FOREFATHERS OF THE NEW MILLENIUM (Sativa: Single I) MCD
In opposite to the debut album (see review), "Sativa" contains only two short tracks. The same title song is a typical Space Rock songs. Very repetitive and the voice of Vine Sweetland is singing a simple melody. But it's nothing spectacular and not very inspiring for my taste. The second song "Raga Bhanga" is a total different song, filled with Tablas, Sitar, Flute, and Tambura. It's more like an Indian raga with a very peaceful and psychedelic vibe, based on a forceful groove. In September 2002 Vine Sweetland will release the new 19 track album and it would be nice to see, when he would include more songs like "Raga Bhanga".
